Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This explains what personal information is collected when you visit this site or buy Sweet, Naturally, why, and what your rights are. In short: only what's needed to take your order and get the book to you. Nothing is sold, and there's no tracking.
Who is responsible for your data
Sofia Ionescu, trading as Sweet, Naturally, Bucharest, Romania. You can reach us at sweetnaturallybook@gmail.com.
What is collected
When you place an order, the following is collected through Stripe, the payment provider:
- your name and email address
- your billing details
- your shipping address, if you order the printed book
- which format you ordered, and when
Your card details go directly to Stripe. They never reach this site, and we never see them.
If you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you write. Like almost every website, the hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
Why it is used
- To fulfil your order: taking payment, sending you the digital book or posting the printed one, and keeping you updated about your order. The legal basis is performing our contract.
- To keep records the law requires, such as for tax and accounting. The legal basis is a legal obligation.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud. The legal basis is legitimate interest.
You won't be added to any marketing list without asking you first.
Who it is shared with
Your data is never sold. It is shared only with the services needed to run the shop:
- Stripe, for payments
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- the postal or courier service that delivers your printed book
- an email service, used to send order and delivery emails
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This site doesn't use any cookies. It counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which records anonymous page views (such as which page was opened and the country it was opened from) without cookies and without identifying you. When you go to checkout, Stripe's payment page uses its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. You can read about them in Stripe's privacy policy.
How long it is kept
Order details are kept for as long as needed to deliver your book and handle any questions about it, and after that for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Then they are deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data held about you
- have it corrected if it's wrong
- have it deleted, unless it must be kept by law
- restrict or object to how it is used
- receive it in a format you can take elsewhere
To use any of these, email sweetnaturallybook@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
